Interview with Jared of hedPE - July 2009

Lisa Selvaggio: I have to admit, I haven’t been following you guys for a few years, so when New World Orphans came out, I was a bit surprised to find what the content was about – pleasantly surprised.  I always love when artists use their fame and their art form to spread a good message to the masses, especially when so much media these days, whether it’s TV, radio, internet, makes you want to puke.  Anyway, here’s a “stock” question of sorts, but I am curious, where did this album come from, and how long have you been waiting to put something out like this?
Jared Gomes: The album is a sign of the times.  I am blessed to have had my eyes open to the secrets, and be riding the wave of light that has been bombarding our planet.  It all started with our first album on Suburban Noize Records Back 2 Base X.  That was when I was introduced to “Esoteric Wisdom.”  I read this book by Manly P. Hall The Secret Teachings of All Ages, and it has grown from there.  Sometime after this album, I decided that (hed)p.e. would become a vehicle for communicating this secret knowledge, and the most recent album, New World Orphans (NWO) , is just the most recent chapter in this Book of Truth.  As you just mentioned, most of the so-called entertainment today, TV, music, movies, makes me wanna puke as well!  So, you’re in good company.  My parents are from Brazil, and I recently was revisiting my roots and watching Brazilian movies and TV shows.  It is so obvious that other countries are receiving a higher level of entertainment than we are.  That thought first occurred to me when we were touring England, and I was watching some of their programming.  There seems to be a pattern of the broadcasters flooding American television and radio stations with mindless, low vibration so-called entertainment.  Anyway, (hed)p.e. realizes that youth are hungry for something that appeals to their superior intellect.

LS: Were you at all afraid of putting out a political album like this, and possibly losing a lot of fan support?
JG: Definitely not.  In fact, it is this Truth Flag that we have been waiving that is solely responsible for our underground success.  Besides, we aren’t aligned with any Big Brother style record companies.  That’s why our home at Subnoize fits like a glove.  They don’t try to tell us what or what not to do.  I am at a point in my life, as an artist and as a human being, that I have to stand up for what is most important to not just myself, but for the service of others, you know?  It’s not like I’m doing this to get over on radio and sell enough records to afford a BMW or some shit.  That is not the point here.  (hed)p.e. is on a totally different path, with a different set of goals than the average so-called rockstar.

LS: So what’s the overall response been to the album, particularly from music critics?
JG: ::Laughs::  Music critics?  I wouldn’t know.  A music critic is just some person with a pen.  Their opinion is worth no more, or less, than the kids that come to our show and love us.  You can’t please everyone anyway.  And who’s to say that the guy who reviews our album isn’t even into our type of music in the first place?  That type of thing I think applies to life in general.  One man’s treasure is another man’s garbage.  It’s all in your perspective, I guess.  Take fashion, for instance.  One girl will wear something she [feels] comfortable in, and then some other girl will be trying to talk a bunch of shit on her, ‘cause it’s not what she considers “in.”  Totally ridiculous.

LS: Obviously your album is all about people in America waking up to the corrupt system they’re living under and actually making changes to renew the system.  What are some of the things that you feel people need to be aware of that are going on behind the scenes?
JG: Oh my god, where do I start?  First of all, let’s take healthcare, for example.  All these liars saying we have the best healthcare in the world.  Total bullshit.  Canada, England, they both have way superior healthcare systems than we do.  But, because the average guy has never been to these countries, he believes the lies.  And these people who are lying just happen to be receiving millions of dollars from the insurance companies.  Get it?  So, the sheep in the country are like, “Yea, we don’t need  healthcare,” because those same insurance companies have spent millions to brainwash the sheep into thinking they are doing just fine.  It’s a massive deception, and they laugh at us, ‘cause we believe their lies and don’t see through the bullshit.  They complain how much healthcare will cost, but those same people didn’t say shit when we were building F22 fighter jets, at $200 million a jet, and never even fucking used them, ‘cause all that money goes into the pockets of the elite.  On and on and on.  Religion being used to justify war and the killing of innocents.  When any religion justifies war, it loses all its validity.  I could fill a book with this shit.

LS: What are some of the things you suggest people do to change things?  Some of the songs on your album seem to suggest total revolution, including violent revolution.  Do you think that talking and rallying and writing letters or making phone calls will ever be enough?
JG: No way is violence the solution.  LOVE is the answer.  We have to embrace one another.  Stop worrying about illegal immigration.  That is another distraction.  LOVE is the vibration we need right now.  Peaceful and hopeful vibrations.  True, that sometimes within the album you will hear some lyrics that express outrage, but those are to be taken with a grain of salt.  In the future, I will have to be more careful about what I say, because sometimes people are taking me way too literally.  I am trying to provoke people’s emotions so that they will get off the couch and realize they’ve been lied to their entire lives.  Their parents were lied to.  Their grandparents and on and on.

LS: Yeah, I mean, in reading the lyrics, I noticed that there are a lot of violent lines in them.  Do you think it may also hurt your message by writing like this, maybe turn people off from the music, thereby turning them away sfrom the good intentions behind it?
JG: I guess you would have to show me exactly what line you are talking about, and then we could dissect it and find out what I meant when I wrote it.  Because, as I said before, violence is the exact opposite of what we need to do.  They would love for us to grab out guns, so that they could come in with their tanks and destroy us.  We are not that stupid.  This is a war for your mind.  This is an all-out war of control for our minds.  There are only 2,000 people in the Secret Government, and there are 6 billion of us.   That’s 300 million to one!  They can’t win.  No way.  Let me clarify something, though, when you hear me say “grab your guns and load the clip,” that is a metaphor, apparently a dangerous one.  What that line means is to open your eyes and stay aware and ready for their mind war.  It just sounds cooler to refer to weapons, but in the future, I will have to restrain from that kind of wordplay.  It definitely confuses people, and that’s why I’m glad you asked that question.

LS: I have to ask, what are your thoughts on our new President Obama?
JG: I love President Obama.  He introduced me to hope and the love vibration.  Honestly, when he was first on the scene I cursed him and bad mouthed him.  But, then I finally found an opening in my heart for the words he was speaking.  He is not a dictator.  The government is still cancerous with Illuminati control.  But 4 years from 2012, President Obama is a sign of the times.  A sign that things are about to change.  The good is getting better, but the bad is getting worse.  I love how his election brought all these racist, right wingnuts out of the shadows.  All these people with racist tendencies are going fucking crazy, and I love that shit.  I ask you this: If President Obama is just another puppet, why are all the Neocons and Fox News, which is an Illuminati network, spending billions to try and defeat everything he does?  The love that he inspired will not be in vain.  Our thoughts act in and upon themselves.  They leave our bodies and do their own work.  Millions of people feeling love and hope.  That will change the world.

LS: At Paragon, we spend a lot of time talking with bands like yours about various global and national issues, and we have a sister site at ParagonEarth.org that focuses on animal rights and environmentalism, two topics that, although have a strong following, are usually not discussed in the mainstream political arena.  What are your feelings on these
issues, i.e. do you feel that more light needs to be shed on them, or do you feel there are other more important things to focus on?

JG: Cruelty is cruelty, and love is love.  Animals deserve our respect and love.  So does everything in Nature.  The trees, the water, the air, all these things have been taken for granted, and Mother Earth has been so forgiving to us.  But She will have to correct these things, and I dare say if people have to die in the process, so be it.  Mad Cow Disease is just the beginning.  The animals will no longer feed us.  They are choosing to leave the planet.  Whales beaching themselves.  Dolphins getting caught in nets.  These beings are highly enlightened.  They are choosing to leave the planet right now.  You can be sure of that.  Things will get better.  They can’t get worse.

LS: Who are some political leaders that you feel are leading the way towards change that most people don’t know about?
JG: Like I said before, President Obama is the figurehead of change for a better future.  What other president has quoted Hopi truth: “we are the ones we have been waiting for”?

I’m not sure who else is out there in the political realm.  Ron Paul is definitely a guy I admire.  He was the first guy I ever donated to.

LS: Ever heard of chemtrails? ::laughs:: I have to ask because we are always trying to get people to look up!
JG: Yes, I’ve heard of those.  They are real.  But you can believe that if you hold a high vibration.  By embracing love and service to others, then these toxins cannot survive or hurt you.  That’s the key: raising your frequency.  The Illuminati have all these plans, but that’s all they are…plans.  They are not god, and even god allows free will, which can change everything within an instant.  THEY don’t stand a chance against we human beings.  Microchips, concentration camps, all these rumors about their sick ideas, just to put fear in our hearts.  I refuse that.  Once again, they are just trying to get into our heads.  Pun intended.

LS: Going back to the album – For an album like this, were there any particular writers, artists, or politicians that you looked towards for inspiration, maybe who could provide you with more information than what you already knew?  Maybe a good re-read of Orwell’s 1984 and Animal Farm or some economy info from Ron Paul?
JG: Like I said, this book by Manly P. Hall started it all for me.  Let me just list these references for you:

Books:

1.                  The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall

2.                  The Gods of Eden by William Bramley

3.                  Family of Light by Barbara Marciniak

4.                  No More Secrets, No More Lies by Patricia Cori

Videos:

1.                  The Hyperdimensional Election of Barack Obama by Richard Hoagland

2.                  Our Journey and The Grand Deception by George Kavasillas

3.                  City of God (A Brazilian Movie)

LS: Gotta admit, sometimes people like Alex Jones come off as a little too paranoid and a little too conspiracy-theory-oriented.  If you listen to people like him too much, you’d be afraid to breathe, never mind walk out the front door.  What do you think?

JG: I could not agree more.  I’m sick of bad fucking news.  I want solutions.  I want an uplift.  I can’t stand websites that focus on the bad news, and never provide information about how the Illuminati is crumbling.  A good website that offers both sides is www.divinecosmos.com.  David Wilcox will not only tell you about the Illuminati’s dark intentions, but also how they absolutely cannot win.

LS: As a touring band, what are some of the worst places you’ve seen, and overall, how does America compare with the rest of the world?
JG: Every place offers a chance to learn something about the country and yourself.  The worst place I’ve seen is Detroit.  Some very poor areas there.  They look like a bomb was dropped on those neighborhoods.  Europe is beautiful, and Japan is my favorite place.  Japan is just so beautiful.  An incredible vibe of respect and honor there.  Traveling this beautiful world is definitely a blessing of being in this business.  You have to embrace other cultures.  No one is better than anyone else.  Except like I said earlier, Canada and Europe have better healthcare.  Japan takes care of its freeways better than we do!  Every country has something to offer humanity as a whole.  We are all family.  We are all in this together.

LS: Well now that I’ve dropped enough names and terms to give the government an excuse to track us, I want to ask you if you are ever afraid of people spying on you because of what you’ve put out?
JG: I actually am not afraid, but I get intimidated by certain groups, that I will not name.  They have indeed contacted me to let me know they are listening.  Still, I will continue to do what I do, but I have to be careful in naming names.  They can’t touch me.  I’m surrounded by Warriors of Light.  I’m doing the job I was born to do.  And that is to educate people about embracing LOVE and lifting their vibrations.  Altering their frequency from FEAR to LOVE and HOPE.

LS: Is there anything we haven’t discussed that you want to quickly mention before we end this interview?
JG: Just to let your people know about our websites: www.newworldorphans.com, www.myspace.com/hedpe, www.suburbannoizerecords.com

And to thank you for your very interesting questions. Sometimes journalists ask the most generic questions, but I really enjoyed this interview. Thank you and good luck!
